A party for a big cat - Donations for the Amur leopard instead of gifts

Stella Chidlovskaja from Kamen has a heart for animals – especially for the Amur leopard, the rarest big cat in the world. In order to raise funds for the conservation of this critically endangered cat, Stella threw a party for the second time. Instead of gifts she asked for a donation for Stiftung Artenschutz, which supports a conservation project for the Amur-leopard. In addition, the hostess organized a tombola in support of the conservation project.
"I have seen the Amur leopards in the Dortmund Zoo. And I fell in love with these animals", says Stella Chidlovskaja.
In their natural habitat, in the northern part of Russia near the border to China and Korea, the animals are extremely rare. Only about 30 animals still live in the wild and there are about 200 animals in zoos. The Amur leopard is the only big cat species, that might be released in the wild in the near future.
